Tonight is the eve of my first Mother’s Day! I am looking forward to a day dedicated to me! I’ve prepared for this day and am keeping my expectations in check. I hope for some quality family time, a slow and meaningful day.
But, first, the hustle…
While my husband watched golf, I:
fed the baby dinner, cleaned it up, and put her to bed; did the laundry and dishes; unpackaged and cleaned some new toys that I bought yesterday; made my dinner; and unpacked the diaper bag from today’s excursion.
Oh yeah- and I’m already exhausted because I had the baby with me all day, a job unto itself.
And then he asked if he could meet up with friends for a drink.
He is lucky that I am an introvert and just wanted to watch TV alone tonight.
The house is still a mess, but there are a few wins from the night:
- Most of the bottles are clean for tomorrow
- The baby’s outfit is picked out
- I watched several episodes of my sister wife, Cameron Eubanks, on Southern Charm
- I wrote this blog post
